My purpose is to help those with trauma find peace. Trauma has many faces. From haunting memories, and dreams to feeling anxious, angry, and depressed. Ties with friends and family can also be hurt. As much as trauma is painful, it is treatable. Over my 20 years of work, I have become an expert at building coping skills and helping others heal. I have had the honour to work with Canadian military veterans, RCMP, Calgary police, Paramedics and other professionals. I am also experienced working with persons who have been abused by their family and loved ones, motor vehicle accidents and other serious traumas.
I am skilled in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapies. I am also trained as a certified yoga teacher with a specialty in trauma sensitive yoga. I specialize in creating treatment plans which are complete and effective for successful results.
