>At intake we do a quick needs assessment to determine the level of crisis and risk. If risk is too high to begin traditional counselling, we refer out to appropriate services. We work with clients to define crisis points and therapeutic outcomes and work strategically towards each goal using a psychoeducational approach. We utilize a multi-modal approach (REBT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, SFBT) to ensure that each client’s individual learning styles are addressed; we fit the therapy for each client rather than trying to fit the client into a particular therapeutic model.
