Family Counselling Centre is a not-for-profit, community-based agency that provides Sarnia-Lambton residents with a variety of professional counselling, support, prevention and coordination services.
>Family, Couple, and Individual Counselling: Our counsellors are master-level, Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists from diverse educational and professional backgrounds. We use a brief, solution-focused Cognitive Behavioural approach- helping you gain the tools you need to overcome your challenges.
>Community Support Services: Case management services, Supports for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Abuse, Intimate Partner Violence, Children’s Mental Health.
Violence Programs; Adult Sexual Assault programs; PAR (156 participants: 79 men, 77 women), SAO; Sexual Assault Outreach program assisted 40 women.
Distress Line Services for Suicide prevention (58% increase in calls from last year).
Tel-Check Services for Elderly (74% increase in calls and 39,579 outgoing calls).
Supervised Access Program Lambton/SAPL provides a neutral space where parents can visit their children with court orders (350 virtual visits arranged, 226 exchanges arranged).
Separation & Divorce Program; Parents putting Kids 1st (free 3 wk program; 15 participants).

Family Counselling Centre is your local partner in workplace health. Our personal and responsive services help you address employee mental health concerns before they become an issue. Our demonstrated methods get meaningful real-life results for employees, their families, and workplaces. Family Counselling Centre is a member of FSEAP, giving us access to counselling supports nation-wide. No matter where you may have business, we have the counsellors to support your employees.
>Supervised Access Program Lambton: Supervised Access Program Lambton (SAPL) provides a safe, neutral, child-focused environment where families can carry out their parenting time requirements as stipulated by court orders or written agreements. We promote the building of relationships between children and their non-residential family member. Attending to the rights, needs, and emotional health of the children is the foundation upon which we build our child-focused environment.
